Life is better when you are part of something. At Heal Care, our NDIS group and centre based activities in Sydney give you a safe, fun, and welcoming space to meet people, discover what you enjoy, and build skills that help you live more independently. Every session is designed with your goals in mind, not just to fill your day, but to genuinely move your life forward.
As a registered NDIS provider, we run structured group centre activities that are fully funded through your NDIS plan. Whether you are new to group programs or looking to switch to a provider who actually listens, we make the whole process easy from day one.
Group and centre based activities are NDIS-funded programs where participants come together either at a centre or out in the community to take part in social, recreational, or skill-building experiences. These programs sit under the Core Supports budget in your NDIS plan, specifically within the Assistance with Social and Community Participation category (Registration Group 0136).
Unlike one-on-one support, group programs allow you to connect with other participants, share experiences, and build a social network, all while working toward your personal NDIS goals. The cost per session is generally lower than individual support, which means your funding goes further.
Group and centre based activities are covered under your Core Supports budget, specifically the Assistance with Social and Community Participation line.
Funding covers the cost of staffing, materials, and facility access for each session.
If you are not sure whether your current plan includes this funding, contact us, and we will help you work it out.
We also collaborate with leading plan managers in Sydney, including Capital Guardians, MyIntegra, and Everyday Independence, to make billing smooth and stress-free for participants and families.
We make sure our activities are different and enjoyable. Here’s what participants at Heal Care enjoy every week:
Arts, crafts and painting
Creativity, self-expression and relaxation
Cooking and kitchen skills workshops
Meal planning, nutrition and everyday independence
Fitness, yoga and gentle movement

Not every activity suits every person, and that is completely fine. Our team takes time to understand what interests you, what you find challenging, and what you want to achieve, then we match you with programs that actually make sense for your goals.
Getting started is straightforward. There is no confusing process or long waiting list.
Call 1300 836 006, email booking@healcare.com.au, or submit an enquiry on our website. We respond quickly, usually the same day.
Share your NDIS plan details with us. We confirm your funding, explain your options, and answer any questions.
Come along to a trial session at our centre. Meet the team, see the space, and decide if it feels right, with no pressure to commit.
Once you are happy, we build a personalised schedule around your goals, preferences, and availability.
You can join our group programs if you:
✓ Are a current NDIS participant with an approved plan
✓ Have Assistance with Social and Community Participation funding in your plan
✓ Are based in or around Sydney and can attend sessions at our centre or community locations
✓ Have a physical, intellectual, psychosocial, sensory, or neurological disability
Research consistently shows that social connection and purposeful activity improve mental health, physical well-being, and overall quality of life for people with disabilities.
Here is what participants in our group programs regularly tell us they experience:
Stronger social confidence and less anxiety in group settings, plus new friendships and a genuine sense of community.
Greater independence through hands-on skill development and increased motivation to work toward personal NDIS goals.
Improved mood, focus, and mental health from regular structured activity, along with a better understanding of Sydney and local community resources.
More fun, which matters more than most people admit.
We know you have options. Here is why participants and families across Sydney come to Heal Care and stay:
At Heal Care, we do not believe in cookie-cutter programs.
Before you join any group, we sit down with you and your family or carer, if you choose, to understand what success looks like for you personally.
Maybe it is making one new friend. Maybe it is cooking a full meal on your own. Maybe it is simply getting out of the house three times a week.
We then track your progress, celebrate your wins, and adjust the program when needed. Our support workers document outcomes and share regular updates so your whole support network stays informed.
This approach aligns with the NDIS Practice Standards and reflects our genuine belief that every participant deserves care that is as individual as they are.
Individual support is one-on-one assistance, while group and centre based activities involve joining other NDIS participants in a shared program. Group sessions cost less per hour, so your funding goes further, and you also gain the social connection that individual support does not always offer.
Yes, many participants use both. Group activities are funded under Social and Community Participation, while individual support falls under Assistance with Daily Life. Our team can review your plan and help you make the most of your existing funding.
Talk to us, and we will guide you. We ask about your interests and goals, and suggest programs that suit you. We invite you to try a session first, with no pressure to commit.
You can request this funding at your next NDIS plan review. We can help you prepare supporting documentation that shows how group activities connect to your personal goals.
Both. We run sessions at our centre and take participants on regular outings across Sydney cafes, parks, markets, and local events. Transport assistance is available for those who need it.
